David joined the Yi-Tan Call this morning.

The web externalizes meaning. As Heidegger pointed out, context permits meaning.

Tagging for yourself to find things is different from tagging to guide others to things; now we cannot distinguish the two.

The semantic web? It’s sort of like the search for universal taxonomies in the 19th century. Not very good for sort of/kind of things.

Tags are not as important as tag streams.

Everything is miscellaneous

Everything is one of those?
Everything is all there is.
Anything is everything.
